State of Michigan - Michigan State Flag Color
Sheet
Flag Meaning: The symbols of the state seal are placed on a field of blue. The flag was adopted in 1911. The state seal consists of a man in a field and the sun rising over water in a shield supported by an elk and a moose. This symbolizes the state's wealth, resources, and people. The eagle above the shield represents the state as protector of its wealth, resources and people. The seal bears three mottoes in Latin that translate to: "I will defend," "One out of many," and "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you."

These Michigan coloring pages make great mouse practice
activities for younger children but can also be used with
older children beginning to learn how to read. If the child
is unable to read the sentence that goes with the state of Michigan
