Easter Dessert Recipes for Kids

Looking for some Easter dessert recipes to make for your Easter dinner? We have a large collection of Easter desserts!

Easter Desserts

Baby Chick Easter Cupcakes
These are the cutest cupcakes to serve as your Easter dessert. If you don't have a pastry bag use a plastic baggie with one corner snipped out.

Bunny Hopping Cupcakes
Can't find pink food coloring? Use 6 drops of red and 2 drops of blue instead. This will turn the frosting to a rose color and works just as well as the pink. If pink decorating sprinkles are not available use some of the pink frosting to tip the top of each marshmallow ear.

Bunny Hop Carrot Cookies
Carrots and oranges make this a tasty treat!

Cool and Creamy Easter Cake
To remove the cake from the pan, run a kitchen knife around the edge of the pan. Dip the pan in lukewarm water until the cake is loosened. Invert the cake onto the serving platter.

Creamy Banana Dream Bars
To crush graham crackers without a mess place the crackers in a sealable plastic baggie. Use a rolling pin and gently roll back and forth over the crackers until they are as crushed as you like.

Dainty Easter Cakes
When heating the icing be sure not to over cook it. Overcooking will cause the icing to become dull. To keep the icing at a spreadable consistency just add a few drops of hot water to the icing and stir until smooth. Decorate the top of each cake with candies, decorating gel or other types of cake decorating supplies.

Easter Angel Dessert
Blueberry, strawberry, peach or even lemon pie filling can be used in this dessert. Finely crushed nuts can also be folded into the pudding mix for something a little different.

Easter Bonbon Cookies
These Easter bonbon cookies always hit the spot. With a surprise in the middle the kids will love. Make these and place a couple of them in your children's Easter baskets or set them out for an after dinner dessert.

Easter Egg Peanut Butter Cookies
Wafers are round flat disks of confectionery coating that are available in different flavors and colors. They can be found in the baking section of many supermarkets or party stores. If you can not find wafers white chocolate coating can be used and colored with food coloring. Follow the directions on the coating package for melting and coloring.

Easter Sunday Cross Cake
This cake is very simple to make but looks elegant when completed. Any type of cake mix can be used.

Elegant Raspberry Meringue Torte
Fresh raspberries and walnuts make this meringue torte both colorful and yummy.

Fast and Easy Lime Mousse
Not a fan of lime? Try lemon instead. Use the same measurements but change the lime juice to lemon juice and use lemon peel. Garnish with thin slices of lemon.

Flowering Lily Cake
Use a fluted tube pan to create this cake in flower-like form.

French Style Strawberry Tartlets
Strawberries are a favorite Easter food in France and it is believed this is where this recipe originated. If you do not have miniature tart tins you can find mini tart crusts in the freezer section at your local supermarket. Bake the frozen tarts as directed on the package.

Frosty Easter Caterpillar
This caterpillar can be made as long as you like by adding more scoops of sherbet. It's so easy to make why not make a couple. Use any type of sherbet in any order you prefer.

Fruited Lemon Cups
T his is one of the easiest and best tasting desserts anyone can make for their Easter dinner. Lemon or vanilla yogurt also works well with the fruit as a topping.

Heavenly Strawberry Freezer Cake
This cake can be frosted with additional whipped topping. Add a few sliced strawberries as a garnish just before serving.

Hippity Hoppity Berry Cake
Because you need a 2 inch depth for this cake to raise high enough, you should only use a 9X13 cake pan to bake it in.

It's a Bunny Cake
This cake isn't really all that hard to make if you have the right equipment. Pastry bags are pretty inexpensive and come with many types of tips. You can find the egg white powder and clear vanilla along with icing sugar at many supermarkets or department stores that sell baking products. Any type of cake mix can also be used for this recipe.

Jumbo Chocolate Candy Coated Cookies
Need more than 24 cookies? Use a teaspoon to measure out the dough and place the cookies 2 inches apart on the baking sheet and bake as directed above. A 1/2 C of coconut and a 1/2 C of crushed pecans can also be added into the cookie mix.

Just Peachy No Bake Pie
By placing ice cubes into the gelatin is quickens the thickening time. Do not substitute cold water for the ice cubes for the best results.

Lemon on Lemon Daisy Cake
This cake will remain fresh in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. When freezing the cake do not garnish. Allow the cake to thaw completely then add the daisy's to the top.

Luscious Lemon Individual Cakes
Jazz up these cupcakes by adding speckled jelly beans as a garnish. If you don't have two 12 cup muffin tins don't worry. Cover the remaining batter and refrigerate until the muffin tin is ready to use again. Add 1 to 2 minutes extra baking time for the chilled batter.

Mr. Grasshopper's Freezer Pie
To save time look for a prepared chocolate graham cracker crust in the supermarkets baking section. To make the garnish use 1 chocolate graham cracker crushed. You can also use honey or plain graham crackers if you prefer.

Mr. Rabbit's Best Carrot Cake
This is such a fun cake to make and simple too. Be sure your bunny cake mold is a side view mold. If you have a full view mold just double the amount of pink icing and use 2 chocolate covered peanuts for the eyes.

Old Fashion Plum Cobbler
This is a wonderful cobbler and when served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream it will be a hit as your Easter dessert. If you are not fond of plums or can not find them in your local supermarket pitted sliced cherries work well also.

Orange Marmalade Cake Roll
This is a little different side to the old fashion jelly roll. Any type of jelly or jam will work in this recipe.

Pastel Pink Lemonade Pie
This pie gives your table a little Easter pastel color. Everyone will love the taste and be begging for more. Garnish the top with slices of fresh lemon.

Peeps Menagerie Cake
You can use any type of cake mix and frosting to make this cute little Easter cake. Scatter a few jelly beans (Easter eggs) in with the Peeps.

Peter Cottontail's Upside Down Cake
This may seem like a lot of pineapple but in reality it isn't. Most of the weight in a can of crushed pineapple comes for the juice. Once the juice is drained the pineapple adds up to only about 10 oz. per can. This cake will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This cake will not freeze well.

Petite Pecan Tartlets
Keep the dough chilled between batches to ensure the dough does not become to soft to work with. For something a little different instead of topping with a pecan half top each tartlet with a maraschino cherry after they have baked and cooled slightly.

Pineapple Refrigerator Cheese Cake
This light and fluffy cheese cake is a wonderful addition to any Easter meal. This cheese cake can also be made with fresh strawberries and strawberry preserves.

Pink Pastel Easter Cake
Using maraschino cherries and almond slivers, create a caketop of flowers. Lovely to look at and delicious to eat!

Pretty Fresh Berry Basket Cake
Reserve the second cake for another use or break it up and serve it with a chocolate or strawberry fondue dip. Remember to beat the meringue until all the sugar is dissolved and it forms stiff peaks when the beaters are pulled straight up. Do not under beat meringue or it will not set up when baked. Any type of fresh fruit will work in this recipe so try all your favorites.

Speckled Egg Easter Basket Cake
Using pipe cleaners as a handle, coconut for Easter grass and speckled jelly beans for eggs - this Easter basket cake is sure to delight the kids as a baking activity!

Spring Cake Mix Cookies
Lemon cake mix can also be used to make these cookies. When using a lemon cake mix substitute 1/4 C of milk for the vegetable oil. Do not tint the batter.

Strawberry N Cream Mallow Cups
This is a refreshing dessert that can be served with Easter dinner. Any type of fresh fruit will work in this dessert. Chopped nuts, such as pecans or walnuts can be added to this dessert.

Strawberry Pineapple Angel Layers
This dessert just shouts "It's spring." It's bound to be a hit with any Easter dinner. French vanilla or lemon pudding can be used in place of the vanilla pudding if you prefer.

Tooty Fruity Easter Cheesecake
If the cheesecake package does not contain directions for removing the cheesecake here is a simple way of doing it. First it must be completely thawed. Set the bottom of the pan on a stemmed glass. Push up the pan sides holding the cake pan. The cake will be released from the pan. Leave the cheesecake on the cardboard to transfer to a serving platter.

Very Berry Pound Cake Bars
This luscious dessert can be made with vanilla or lemon pudding depending on your tastes. Use all four types of berries or just use 1 or 2 of your favorites. This can also be made by using vanilla pudding and mandarin oranges.
