Banana Split Shortcake - If Dad has a sweet tooth this dessert will hit the spot. Nuts, pineapple topping, hot fudge topping or any of Dad's favorites can be used in this dessert.

Banana Split Shortcake
Ingredients:
2 C of baking mix
1/3 C of sugar
3 tbsp powdered baking cocoa
3 tbsp butter, melted
1/2 C milk
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries in syrup, thawed
2 bananas, sliced
1/4 C of chocolate fudge topping, room temperature
Whipped topping
6 maraschino cherries
Preparation:
Set the oven temperature to 425 degrees and let the oven preheat.
Place the baking mix, sugar and cocoa into a mixing bowl and toss to combine.
Stir in the butter and milk until the mixture turn to a soft dough.
Drop 6 spoonfuls of the dough onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes outs clean.
Allow the cakes to cool 5 minutes or until cool enough to handle.
Split the cakes into 2 pieces through the middle.
Place the bottom piece of shortcake into individual serving bowls.
Place a scoop of ice cream over the cake.
Spread strawberries and bananas over the ice cream.
Place the second piece of shortcake over the top.
Drizzle with the chocolate fudge topping.
Top with a dollop of whipped topping and a maraschino cherry.
