Good Morning Daddy Biscuits - If your Dad isn't a big breakfast eater but you still want to serve him breakfast in bed on his special day serve him up a couple of these wonderful biscuits. Add a cup of hot coffee or a glass of cold milk. Oh and don't forget to add his present too. If you can't find almond brickle chips English toffee bits will also work.

Good Morning Daddy Biscuits
2 C of flour
1/4 C + 1 tsp of sugar, divided
3 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 C butter cold
3/4 C of milk
1/4 C semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 C almond brickle chips
1 tsp butter, melted
Preset the oven temperature to 425 degrees allowing the oven to preheat.
Place the flour, 1/4 C of sugar, the baking powder and baking soda into a large mixing bowl and toss to combine.
Cut the butter into the mixture with a pastry cutter or two forks until the mixture becomes coarse crumbs.
Gradually stir in the milk just until the dry ingredients are moistened.
Fold the chocolate chips and almond chips into the mixture blending them in well.
Drop the batter 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 14 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 1 dozen biscuits
