Hanukkah Games - How to play with dreidels

Directions - How to play the Dreidel Game

1. Give each player 20 pennies

2. Each player puts 2 pennies in a pot.

3. Spin the dreidel! The letter facing up when the dreidel stops does the following:

  • Nun - do nothing
  • Gimel - take everything
  • Hey - Take half of the pot
  • Shin - Put one penny in the pot

4. Throughout the game, ask players to count pennies.

Variation - substitute chocolate gelt coins or gold gelt sticker coins for pennies.
