- Harding grew up in Ohio and started college at age 14.

- Harding had many jobs before going into politics. He was a teacher, insurance salesman and newspaper reporter. He also owned his own newspaper.

- Harding was known for his golf and poker games. He played poker with his cabinet twice a week. They were called the Poker Cabinet.

- Harding died suddenly in sleep on August 2, 1923 after rumors of illegal behavior among his inner circle. The Teapot Dome Scandal came to light after his death. One of Harding's cabinet members, Albert B. Fall, took illegal payments in exchange for oil drilling rights on federal lands near Dome, Wyoming.

- Out of all presidents, Harding had the biggest feet - size 14!
