1784 (Nov. 24) Born near Barboursville, Va.
1810 (June 21) Married Margaret Mackall Smith.
1811 Daughter Ann Taylor was born.
1812 Defended Fort Harrison against Tecumseh.
1814 Daughter Sarah Taylor was born.
1816 Daughter Octavia Taylor was born.
1819 Daughter Margaret Taylor was born.
1820 Daughter Octavia Taylor dies.
1820 Daughter Margaret Taylor dies.
1824 Daughter Mary Elizabeth Taylor was born.
1826 Son Richard Taylor was born.
1829 Returned to the Army as a lieutenant colonel.
1832 Received surrender of Black Hawk.
