In 1889, Washington was the 42nd state to join the union. Quarters in the State Quarter Progam are released in the order that the states joined the Union. Washington's quarter was released on April 11, 2007. It pictures a salmon leaping in ront of Mount Rainer. The inscription reads "The Evergreen State."

- What mountain range does Mount Rainer a part of?

- What was the exact date that Washington joined the Union?

- The term "E Pluribus Unum" appears at the bottom of the quarter. Translated that means "Out of many, one" or "Many uniting into one." Why do you think it appears on all the state quarters?

What are scramblers?

A scrambler is a program that chops up an image and scrambles up the pieces (requires the java plugin). The object of the game is to swap 2 pieces at a time until all pieces end up in position to form the completed picture. These scramblers all come with a 4 minute timer. Can you beat the clock? These games require a keen eye for detail. We purposely selected these repetitive patterns to make the games more challenging.

So many pieces! Can you put the scrambled picture back together again within the time left?
